Tanglewood with Diana Krall
Family, BBQs, picnics, fireworks, canyons, parades, hot air balloons, 5Ks, pancake breakfasts…
All these things remind me of the 4th of July!
Diana Krall. Live. In concert. At Tanglewood. On July 4th. Are there words?
I have had my eye on this concert for months. However, we wouldn’t know until July 1st, if we’d be able to go.
Lucky for me, Rick wasn’t scheduled to work on the 4th!
Around 11:45 a.m. we headed down route 7 for 160 miles to Lenox, Massachusetts,
to see Mrs. Krall wow the crowds with her sultry voice! Aside from her hottiness, she has a great sense of humor!
The lawns open at 4. People haul in picnic tables, candles (and candlesticks for that matter!), floral arrangements, and varieties of wines, gourmet cheeses, breads, spreads, salads, and the list goes on!
People fill the lawn with blankets and chairs, and picnic until the concert starts at 7. The weather was perfect and our little picnic was pleasant.

This guy has been at Tanglewood for the last 27 years, or thereabouts, with his hurdy gurdy and monkey.
We found a space right in front of the amphitheater, so the view was great!
There was also a juggler, for children and families to watch, to help pass the time and entertain everyone.
Look at that view! New England is so beautiful!
Mrs. Krall played for 90 minutes and it was so relaxing and entertaining.
Aside from the chilly 55 degree weather as the sun went down, we had an awesome evening together!
Oh man, she was wearing these red stilletos that were incredible! What a little hot tamale!
Fireworks followed. Oh heavens, they were 100 times better than Burlington’s waterfront fireworks show from the night before, hands down!
So now, in addition to family, BBQs, picnics, fireworks, canyons, parades, hot air balloons, 5Ks, pancake breakfasts…
Diana Krall at Tanglewood will remind me of the 4th of July!!!

Tanglewood is THE BEST. Diana Krall is here at the Hollywood Bowl next month. Can’t wait!
I saw Diana Krall when I was in high school – isn’t she ABSOLUTELY amazing!! I am so glad you got to experience it/her – and glad to hear I have a friend that likes her, too!
Carin, you’re way ahead of us! I am sure a majority of us didn’t know who she was until she hit it big! But, being the Jazz girl that you are, I am not surprised…why didn’t you tell me about her back then!
