A year ago this month I was living in Utah, and looking to move to California. Looking to make major changes in my life and pull away from the same routine I had for 7-8 years. It was time to “cut the cord” from Utah Valley and leave! Well, little did I know I would meet my husband just two months later! Read all about our courtship here. From our first date to our wedding: 66 days. I wouldn’t have it any other way. We share the INFJ personality which creates interesting opinions and situations. It’s like living with another version of yourself. Happily married. Equally domesticated. We enjoy playing speed scrabble over a hot bowl of cracked wheat at the breakfast table. We enjoy working out together, doing dishes together, sitting by each other in church and sleeping together. Life is good and we look forward to our many years together.
While bringing home the bacon, I enjoy my scenic commutes to work. Life in Vermont brings a sense of peace. People are surprising friendly, courteous and patient. I dabble in photography, thoroughly enjoy cooking and I have a green thumb. I studied exercise physiology with in emphasis in fitness and wellness at BYU…so I can be fit and well, of course!
Rick, too, studied at BYU and started his 3rd year of Medical School at UVM on March 3rd, 2008. His talents are endless. He’s built a shoe rack for our tiny closest, has been honing his cooking skills and is great with people. He is a runner and soon to be biker! I am not sure there is anything he can’t do or figure out. His amazes me. We’ll be in Burlington Vermont until the Summer of 2010.
This blog is simply the events, passions and thoughts of Vanessa, and infrequently, Rick. (He’s my Editor-In-Chief!) There is no rhyme or reason to any of it. Does there have to be a specific topic for blogs? Have a fantastic day!
